About us
A small Oxfordshire firm that does one thing properly
No call centre, no subcontractors, no upsell to an annual contract. Just a wasp and hornet specialist who answers the phone, turns up when promised, and charges what was quoted.
Send a photo of the nest — fixed-price quote back in minutes, usually a same-day slot.

Nests treated
Wasp Nest Removal Oxfordshire works out of 94 London Road in Headington, which puts us within about forty minutes of almost every property in the county — from the Victorian terraces of Jericho and east Oxford to the Cotswold stone cottages above Burford, the 1970s estates of Kidlington and Botley, and the new build streets going up around Bicester and Didcot.
The business exists because wasp work sits awkwardly for general pest control firms. It is intensely seasonal, it is urgent, and it needs someone who can read a roofline from the ground and tell you within a minute where the nest actually is. We built the whole operation around that: short call-outs, same-day availability through the summer, and a fixed price so nobody has to negotiate while there are wasps coming through a bedroom ceiling.

How we work
You call, describe what you are seeing, and we ask two or three questions: where the wasps are entering, roughly how many per minute, and how high up it is. That is normally enough to price the job on the phone and to know what to bring. There is no site visit fee and no separate survey charge, because a survey is what the first three minutes of the treatment is.
On arrival we confirm the entry point, treat it with a targeted professional insecticide, and explain what will happen over the next few hours. Nearly all treatment is carried out from outside the building. You can read the full sequence on our treatment page, and if you are not yet sure whether you have a nest at all, the signs of a nest guide will tell you what to look for.
We do not treat bees
Honeybees, bumblebees and the tree bumblebees that colonise bird boxes are protected pollinators and we will not treat them. If a photo shows bees, we say so and refer you to a local swarm collector — usually free of charge to you. If you are unsure what you have, our bee or wasp guide covers the differences.
What we will not do
- Quote one price on the phone and a different one at the door.
- Sell you a contract, a repeat visit schedule or a 'protection plan' for a single seasonal nest.
- Treat a nest we cannot reach safely and charge you for the attempt.
- Spray a colony of bees because it is easier than explaining what it is.
- Leave without telling you exactly what will happen for the rest of the day.
Where we work
We cover the whole of Oxfordshire and the towns just over the border — Reading, Aylesbury and High Wycombe among them. Fifty-one towns and villages have their own page with local detail, all listed on the coverage areas page. If your village is not there, call anyway; the list is not exhaustive.
Everything we have learned on those jobs is written up in the guide library — nest locations, species identification, costs, stings, and the seasonal calendar that governs the lot.
Frequently asked questions
- Are you a national company or a local one?
- Local. We are based at 94 London Road, Oxford, OX3 9FN, and we work across Oxfordshire and the immediate border towns. When you call 01865 477311 you speak to the person who will be treating the nest, not a call centre booking a subcontractor.
- Do you only do wasps?
- Wasps and hornets are what we specialise in, and specialising is why we are fast and accurate at it. We do not treat honeybees or bumblebees — if it turns out you have bees, we will tell you and point you towards a local swarm collector instead of selling you a treatment you do not need.
- Are you insured and qualified?
- Yes. Our technicians hold PA1 and PA6 pesticide application certification, and we carry £5m public liability insurance. We can send proof of both before we attend if you would like it.
- What does the guarantee actually cover?
- If the treated nest is still active after the insecticide has had time to work, we come back and re-treat it at no charge. That is the whole guarantee — no forms, no small print about weather conditions.
- How quickly can you come out?
- Most jobs booked before midday are treated the same day. If you are further out — Banbury, Henley, the far Cotswolds — it may be the following morning, and we will tell you honestly on the phone rather than leaving you waiting.
- What happens if you cannot reach the nest?
- It is rare, but it happens: a nest deep inside a chimney stack, or one only reachable with scaffolding or a cherry picker. If we genuinely cannot treat it safely, you do not pay. We would rather lose the job than take a risk on a ladder or leave you with a fee for nothing.
