It's a fair question, and it deserves a straight answer rather than a vague "depends, we'll need to inspect" that turns into an hour-long appointment and a bill nobody agreed to. Our starting price, and what it includes
Wasp nest treatments start from £99. That covers a same-day or next-day appointment, a fixed price agreed before we arrive, the treatment itself, and a free revisit if the nest is still showing activity after the expected knock-down period. It's not a call-out fee with the treatment added on top — it's the whole job.
What it doesn't cover is every nest under the sun at the same flat rate, because a nest six feet up a garden shed and a nest thirty feet up in a Victorian gable end in Jericho are not the same job. That's where the variables below come in.
What actually changes the price
- Height and access. A nest reachable from the ground with a standard ladder costs less to treat than one requiring extended access equipment on a three-storey Victorian terrace.
- Number of nests. Multiple nests on one property — not unheard of on larger Cotswold stone houses or barn conversions — cost more than one, but treating them on the same visit is cheaper than two separate call-outs.
- Hornets rather than wasps. Hornet nests take longer to approach and treat safely, so they sit slightly above standard wasp pricing.
